The Department of Health Sciences also offers an undergraduate baccalaureate degree in Health Sciences. For the Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, students may choose an area of study in one of four tracks: Pre Physical Therapy, Pre Athletic Training, Exercise Science, or Pre Professional studies. We encourage students to select an area of emphasis that most closely aligns with their professional, academic, and career goals.

The Health Sciences program is designed to provide experiences to develop foundational knowledge of human movement, behavior, and health; applicable skills; and necessary dispositions for acceptance to graduate schools and/or careers in health, wellness, sport, and medical fields.

  1. Students will acquire baseline practical and background knowledge required to matriculate into the health professional school or profession of their choice.
  2. Students will demonstrate through written assessment a depth and breadth of knowledge and apply the methods of inquiry in a discipline of their choosing.
  3. Students will access, analyze, interpret information, and solve problems as related to their field.
