As an eligible employee of Concord University, you will receive a wide array of benefits designed for you and, as applicable, your family. These benefits supplement your salary or wages and may be customized to meet your situation and needs.
Employment – Benefit Eligibility
Regular employees who are designated “full-time” are eligible for benefits. Designated part-time, temporary, casual, and student employees are not eligible for the higher education benefit programs. However, the employee’s average hours worked per week may trigger eligibility for health insurance in compliance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
In addition to the retirement plan listed below, any employee, whether regular or temporary, may elect to enroll and contribute wages to a voluntary 403(b) tax deferred retirement savings account, which is not matched by the employer.
Generous Retirement Plan Match & Vesting.
TIAA is the benefit provider for the University’s retirement plans and participation in the plan is required for all employees, wherein six percent (6%) of the employee’s total salary is automatically withheld pre-tax and deposited into the retirement account. The University matches the employees 6% contribution, and all funds provided are fully vested immediately. The employee may determine how the funds are invested.
